Mesothelioma may be difficult to diagnose because the symptoms may appear thirty to fifty years after it's contracted. Some symptoms are shortness of breath and chest pain caused by a build-up of fluid. There are other less obvious signs and symptoms but the big problem is that this symptom may be mistaken for other problem because the diagnosis match a whole range of other diseases.

Mesothelioma a form of cancer that is uncommon. This cancer is usaully a result of being exposed to abestos. It usually occurs in the mesothelium, a lining that protects and covers most of the internal organs in the body. In it milignant cells start to form.It can also occur in the abdominal cavity lining and the heart sac.

Three Forms

The result of asbestos exposure, mesothelioma comes in three forms: pleural mesothelioma; peritoneal mesothelioma and pericardial mesothelioma, All three types have a variety of associated symptoms, and there are some symptoms that are common to all three types of the disease. In all cases of the disease, sufferers are unlikely to even realise that there is a problem until many years after they have actually contracted mesothelioma from regular exposure to asbestos.
